Our plantations

Our walnut, almond and pistachio plantations have excellent soil quality and are located in ideal areas for each crop. They all are well irrigated with the latests technology in localised irrigation and high-quality water.

We strongly believe in what we do, this is why we believe that certifying our activity from the point of view of sustainability is crucial to provide guarantees to our consumers. For this reason, we are committed to certify all our farms with Global GAP, the international standard that accredits good agricultural practices. So far, we have certified 1,529 ha of our farms such as the Carquí (Granada), Cantillana (Badajoz), Palheta (Portugal), Casarente (Badajoz), Cuartillo (Badajoz), Machados (Portugal), Benavides (Badajoz), Tesorero (Badajoz), Torre de Bolsa (Assunção, distrito de Portalegre) and Las Mesas (Badajoz).

PALM Project

Pistachio Project

Borges Agricultural & Industrial Nuts in vertical cooperation with the agricultors of Lleida and Baix Cinca (Spain) leads the Pistachio Project to contribute to the improvement and economic development of the area of influence of Segarra – Garrigues Canal, and other surrounding areas such Bajo Cinca. BAIN´s part of this project will be to communicate the experience they have gathered on their pistachio farms in Badajoz and Granada during the last 25 years, to farmers in these areas. The farmers will use this information to transition their traditional crops, into higher yielding ones. For more information visit Pistachio Project.

Profile of our crops

In Borges Agricultural & Industrial Nuts, we firmly believe in our agricultural projects and the vertical integration of our business. For this reason, in the last three years, we have planted more than 1.000 almond hectares. The 67% of our farms are in their immature phase, the 19% are in full production and the remaining 14% are in the post-maturity phase.
